Even many Catholics grumble and complain when they are asked to bear things which are painful or inconvenient. This shows a lack of understanding, or a lack of love for the Will of the Father, Who invites us to imitate the patience and trust of His Son.

To speak to Christ is also to speak to the Father and to the Holy Spirit, since the Three Divine Persons are One God, undivided. Each receives honour by our devout prayer and attention, whether we have turned in prayer to the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit.

Each person on earth is given the choice: whether to serve God or to ignore Him. Those who refuse to live according to God's laws offer a great insult to their Creator; and if they persist in that state until death, it will be as if each is freely choosing to hurl himself away from his Creator, and so away from all love, light and joy.

The greatest fall occurs when a person slips from the heights of intimacy with God into the depths of sin. That is what happened to Satan, the rebellious Angel; and that is why we should serve the Lord in humility, simplicity and patience to avoid that fate.

Some people have travelled far, to spread the Gospel; yet we do not have to do magnificent things in order to please Christ. A simple act of love, for example - keeping someone company at a meal, or on a journey, can be as great, in Christ's sight, as the work of spreading the Gospel throughout the land, and can bring about as much good, in souls.

Where people build modern towns, and good housing, they sometimes become proud of their achievements. But the best test of a modern community is to see how it treats its poorest and most helpless members. Of what use is a modern street to a disabled person who cannot cross a high kerb?

Those souls who live as Catholics but who never use the Sacraments of Penance are like people who never wash or clean their teeth but who imagine that they are pleasant to be with. Souls not properly purified stink before Heaven.

Everyone needs to be 'cleansed' of all sin. Christ asked me to picture people who never wash or clean their teeth, and who grow dirty and smelly, and often infected. People who refuse to repent or to confess their sins, He said, are deeply loved by the Father, but they stink, before Heaven, and would be wise to accept the help He offers for their transformation and joy.

Some people say it is wrong to request clarity in doctrine or to criticize the words of dissenters in the Church. Truth sets us free, however. Heresy and dissent needs to be uncovered, so that people are not led astray, their souls endangered - just as a doctor is being kind when he tells a patient that he has discovered an undiscovered wound. Only by speaking about a wound can he gain consent to cure it, restoring the patient to health.

As soon as I asked the Saints and Angels for their help, it was as if they surrounded me in a huge crowd, to support me, as I knelt before the Father's throne, offering Him my evening praise. Truly, the Lord assured me, I have an army of Heavenly friends.

Christ said to me: 'Beware the Serpent'. He was referring to the evil one who likes to disturb my evening prayers in one disguise or another but who is put to flight by Holy Water and by prayer to the Holy Trinity.

Many Bishops are unwilling to speak about sin and repentance, thinking it uncharitable to tell people they ought to change if they wish to please God. The Apostles, however, thought it highly charitable to warn others about where sinful behaviour would lead them. They spoke of Hell as well as Heaven.

We should be obedient to Christ, Who teaches through His Church. A lone soldier working on a special mission in a dangerous country can be more likely to stay out of danger if he obeys the precise instructions given by his commander, who can see the whole area. We too should obey our Commander's instructions even when we do not understand the need for certain moves. He wants to save us.

Our Lady and St. Elizabeth practiced it; but the virtue of obedience is not much valued today. Christ offered His own example of obedience and love, to guide us; but He sees many Catholics refusing to obey the teachings of the Church; and He sees many Clergy and religious looking upon the practice of obedience as something demeaning, not liberating.

The new road being made represents the road never-before trodden by the couple who have now become a married couple joined by God. Yet their road joins up with a great highway which leads to Heaven, and represents God the Father's plan for the human race. It is His will that families move forwards together, each man and woman with their children, living close to other families who also live in peace and goodness, remaining aware of their Heavenly destination.

When a man and a woman are about to make their marriage vows in a Catholic church, Christ is there with all His Saints, to witness the marriage, which is a sacrament of the Church. The saints will celebrate the union, and after the vows, will pray to the Father for the couple; and the Angels also pray.

As I praised the Father for the Mother of Christ, who acted to help a couple on their wedding day, I saw Christ reach out and lead His Mother down a little so that she could accept the honour I paid her, and hear my prayers - so great is His delight at seeing His Mother treated with honour and gratitude.

A person who decides, for love of Christ, to seek out the most lonely or weary people at a celebration, or those who have travelled far, is 'like a Jesus' for others, giving companionship and joy - and in doing so pleasing our Saviour.

Those involved in serious sin, such as those who promote abortion, unless they repent, will one day find themselves falling into hell.

It is a serious matter to miss Mass carelessly or deliberately, and so to miss being present at the re-presentation of Christ's Sacrifice of Calvary. We could not be there, at Calvary; but we show how little love we have for Christ, and how little concern about our sin and weaknesses, if we cannot be bothered to attend Mass, as Christ prays there for us to be forgiven our wrong-doing.
