Abortion, here in the UK, kills six hundred babies each day. It is a national tragedy, that a barbaric practice such as abortion is commonplace in England, funded partly by the National Health Service, permitted by legislation, carried out by doctors upon women who have chosen to have their unborn babies killed: swept out of sight, because inconvenient.

Only a person willing to change can co-operate with God's grace, to be freed from the bad habits, attitudes and beliefs which imprisoned him; then his bright soul can soar to God in confident and peaceful prayer.

The gift of life comes from Heaven, as God gives an immortal soul to each person conceived on earth. But Satan is at work to destroy God's gifts. Disguised as a doctor, he kills in the womb, by the hands of doctors, millions of unborn babies whose mothers have tragically given permission for their own tiny infants to be destroyed.

God sends down His gifts from Heaven, including the gift of life, in newly-conceived babies, each of whom has an immortal soul. Yet Satan has engineered the whole abortion business, and many women who are dismayed to be pregnant ignore God's laws and seek a doctor who will kill and expel the child: a barbaric act.

Christ sends down new life from Heaven: the living souls of babies, which are sometimes then rejected by their own mothers, and killed in the womb by Doctors who agree with this practice. Satan boasts, as he points towards parliament, that many of it's members are as guilty as those who do abortions, since legislators voted for it to be made legal.

We can talk, and help people outside the Church. Someone who is convinced that the Catholic Church is wrong about the sinfulness of abortion or any other major topic has built a great wall which obscures from view the Church and its entire, coherent body of teachings about faith and morals handed on since Christ and the Apostles.

Some people do not believe that God is interested in their many little projects, or little troubles. But just as an insignificant crack in the ground, near the Cathedral, can be seen by an interested person to be teeming with fascinating life, so the human soul with it's apparently hum-drum preoccupations is fascinating to God, Who is interested in everything we think and do and say.

The Lord asks Catholics who doubt His Presence in the Blessed Sacrament: Ff Christ could become man, through the Virgin Mary, and allow Himself to die and be buried, and yet visit Abraham and the Prophets in the underworld, then ascend to Heaven to live there in glory, can He not come down to earth again, by the same power, as the Holy Spirit makes Him Present on the altar, as the bread and wine are changed into Christ's Body and Blood, and His friends prepare to receive Him?

The Lord wants to see a crucifix on every altar, large enough to serve as a reminder for everyone that they are present at a solemn, living memorial of His Sacred Passion and death. The Mass is therefore not an appropriate place for frivolity, pop music, dancing, or chatter, or anything else which would draw hearts and minds away from the awesome act which takes place.

If we believe that God became man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as a tiny baby whose nature was both human and Divine, it is surely not difficult to believe that, by the same power of the Holy Spirit, Christ is once again made Present on earth, though in a different manner, in the Mass.

Each human being receives life from God, Who plans that each can progress from infancy to adulthood, and - by God's grace - from spiritual infancy to maturity, and then to a life of bliss in Heaven. What a tragedy it is, when a tiny person is aborted, and denied life's development, or when an older person loses God through sin.

Satan can appear in any form, in the imagination, in order to terrify, weaken, assault or discourage a follower of Christ. The fulfilment of Christ's plans is something he cannot bear to see, and he has all sorts of deceit and trickery which he uses to draw people away from the hard road to Heaven.

There is neither anaesthetic nor mercy for unborn babies being poisoned or dismembered in the womb

There are people who tell us how their hearts ache for the sufferings inflicted upon living creatures: battery hens, fish, birds, and dancing bears. How many of them have an equal or greater concern for the suffering of the living babies in their mother's wombs: babies poisoned or dismembered in abortion?

The truth about victims of miscarriages of justices - pictured here in a gallery - are often not recognised until much later on. Perhaps abortion will one day be seen as the great injustice it is, for the unborn child, instead of a means of 'liberation' for women unhappy about being pregnant.

How few of those young women who think about having an abortion think about the fact that they are pondering the destruction of someone to whom all the family is related: grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and siblings.

Every time a baby is aborted - even one as tiny as six weeks gestation - a beating heart is stopped, a living human being is snuffed out, because he or she is inconvenient or unwanted. This is not a 'bunch of cells' or a blob of tissue, but a person, who was not allowed to enter this world alive.

One of the results of freely-available abortion in our society is that living human beings are regarded as part of the rubbish resulting from exciting nights on the town - along with cigarette packets, bottles and syringes.

Something is badly wrong, when in a so-called civilised society, women are welcomed into state-funded hospitals, to have their unborn babies destroyed, helped by doctors and nurses who were trained to heal the sick.

People used to hear a married woman announce her pregnancy; and they replied with "Congratulations". When legal abortion had been introduced, it became necessary to be cautious, knowing that women can find doctors to destroy their unborn babies, even without the approval or consent of the husband, the child's father.
