When we meet Christ in the Blessed Sacrament we are confident that His prayer for us reaches Heaven
At Mass we pray with Christ who reaches out to the Father in the burning love of the Holy Spirit
The sorrowful Virgin Mary holds her Son Jesus after his death, pierced to the heart with sorrow, but full of faith. We too can believe and trust, with God's help, even when we do not fully understand.
By surrendering to God in prayer, by 'falling' into Him, we immerse ourselves in the life and love of the three Divine Persons
Even in a pit of darkness or despair, we can call out to our loving God, certain that He will hear us
However small, isolated, or persecuted our community may be, Christ is amongst us at Mass, as if in a chasm
At every Mass we reach up and meet the Father through the Sacrifice of Christ our Head, bound together with each other and with Him
The wall of sin, which separates us from God, is scaled only by Christ, Who stands with His mother. He alone can help us to reach the Glory of Heaven
Satan can use our careless or selfish thoughts to pull us down into sin and darkness, as when an enemy catches hold of someone's flapping garments.
From all eternity the Son of God, who was born of Mary, springs forth from the white-hot love of the Father's heart, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
A prayer for someone far from God can help them be drawn out of the abyss of sin, by God's grace, if they are willing to respond
God is like the most faithful and tender lover, who moves His beloved above all by His sweetness and gentle care
The whole of the Catholic faith is contained in the Missal and celebrated in the Liturgy
Jesus himself speaks to us through the Holy Scriptures, especially when the Gospel is proclaimed at Mass
Personal prayer, in our 'secret room', is never made alone; through Christ we are present with the whole company of Heaven
Like Elijah we are called to seek the presence of God, and be awestruck before His power and majesty and beauty
People have many ideas about God, but only Jesus - like a window onto Heaven - gives us direct access to God the Father
In Westminster Cathedral, and in every Catholic church, the Sacrifice of Calvary is re-presented for our salvation at the Mass
Through prayer, penance, and by offering up our sufferings in union with Christ, we bring powerful help to those trapped in sin
At every Mass, Christ intercedes for us to the invisible Father, as all the Saints look on from above in wonder and gratitude
