Some turn their backs and ignore the work which Christ does for their salvation; they demonstrate their indifference to His Sacrifice.
At his death, a man was delivered to the demons, whose suggestions he had followed in earthly life - instead of following God's laws. They began to inflict on him those torments which he had inflicted upon his victims without mercy.
Just as a doting grandfather must wait until he can show love in conversations and outings, so God our Father 'waits' until we enter Heaven before he demonstrats the full extent of His love.
Only in Heaven can God finally demonstrates the fullness of His love for us. If He did this in earthly life, we would die of joy - though He does give extraordinary gifts and joys to those who love Him, in contemplation. So, too, a loving grandfather on earth cannot hug the new child with too much affection, or he would hurt him. He much restrain himself, and show love through his care.
To commit grievous sin is like climbing down towards Hell, where the suffering of unrepentant sinners is so great that it can be pictured as 'fire', in which the demons wait for new victims to torment.
The Lord Showed me a person with a little pebble in her hand, which represented the pure charity which she demonstrates for everyone. Then he showed me a gigantic, rocky cliff-face next to that person. And the cliff represented more than millions of pebbles, which is the infinate charity of God. In this life, we can always grow more loving.
By showing concern about people who need food and drink, we demonstrate the love in our hearts - as Jesus did when He healed a little girl, the asked for her to be fed, and as we do when we work for our own family day after day, for many years.
If we pray in the name of Christ, with faith in Him and in the power of His Spirit, we can be sure of holding 'outside' our souls those thoughts, temptations, demons and fears which sometimes attack us. With Christ, we are safe from them, as if behind castle walls - no matter how terrible the 'noise' of the warfare being waged by our spiritual enemies.

By the powerful prayer we offer in the name of Jesus Christ, we can - by His grace - help to remove evil influences from the souls of people trapped in sin. Demons flee at the sound of Jesus's name, and peace is restored to the heart, soul and mind, with a renewal of innocence and trust.
There are a thousand ways in which the enemies of Christ try to draw us away from prayer, or from His service. Horrible images can be driven away by the use of Holy water and prayer, and the sign of the cross.
The Church has for centuries inspired, employed, or admired painters, who keep before the eyes of the faithful, in graphic form, those truths of the Faith on which we should act, if we are to be saved by the grace of Christ. We can be helped by images of Heaven or Hell, even if angels or demons, for example, are portrayed in semi-human form, or in ways stemming from a particular culture.
People who are both reverent and well-instructed demonstrate their reverence for Jesus Christ, Present in the tabernacle. They bend the knee before Him in a reverent genuflection, on entering or leaving their place in a church, and when passing by the tabernacle.
When there has been a death, or a tragedy for the nation, it is important that all who mourn, or work for justice, or show sympathy for others, or demonstrate for change, open their hearts to the influence of the Holy Spirit, and refuse entry to the spirit of hatred, lies and malice which is Satan.
For as long as life on earth endures there will always be demons gibbering in the darkness, trying to drag souls into sin. Whoever calls out to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, Mary, and asks for her prayers, will receive grace from God and be drawn towards the light of Heaven.
There was a scene of horror in the film 'Zorro'; yet The Lord showed me that the horrors of Hell surpass all the horrors of those earthly mines, where brutal slave-drivers force the workers to dig and sweat in unbearable conditions, in deep caverns beneath the surface. The demons are the slave-drivers in Hell.
A person who refuses Divine Help, and pursues his selfish desires until death, inevitably experiences the painful separation from God which they chose in earthly life and which continues into Eternity. Without God, all is pain and grief, unending, in the company of the demons and all the damned.
There are souls in Hell who are being tormented by demons. In earthly life, they refused to listen to God who loves them. They chose to walk on the path to Hell as they cried out, until death. 'I can do whatever I like'.
A person who sins, and who says to himself, "I can do whatever I want", would be wise to remember that by his decisions and acts he aligns himself either with God and the Saints and Angels, or with Satan and his demons and all who love evil. He should pause, to ask: "Whose side am I on?"
