The heavenly host

On greeting Christ, the King, I saw a Host enclosed with rays around, with a crown above, a royal wreath below, and Angels bowing in adoration.

At 'Corpus Christi' feast (the Sacred Body and Blood of Christ) brilliant rays of light streamed from the elevated Host.

Angels surround Christ as He appears, hidden in the Host, amongst us; each act of faith we offer draws us closer to Heaven.

I was shown an image and a name for this work. A chalice appeared with a Sacred Host above it, surmounted with the words which best describe Christ's glory, and His work - Radiant Light.

As soon as the pyx was opened, and I adored Jesus, Really Present in the Sacred Host, I was shown the joyful sight of Jesus Himself, holding out His arms to greet me.

Jesus Christ, our incarnate God, is substantially Present with us in the Holy Eucharist. We cannot see Him within the Sacred Host. But we who believe in His words accept the truth about His Presence, rejoice in it - and are eager to show our love and devotion in traditional ways of adoration, reverence, and with processions and hymns.

Some people treat the Sacred Host as if it is merely a bit of bread and not Christ Himself with us in sacramental form under the appearance of bread. They neither respect nor adore Christ, whether from ignorance, carelessness or indifference: yet He is our Saviour and our God.
