The Risen Christ is Really Preset with us, after the Consecration, praying to the Father for sinners to be forgiven, just as He prayed from the Cross on Calvary. And His Mother is very close to Him.
It is as though, to reach Heaven, we must deliberately aim for Heaven, swimming against the powerful current that might draw us into a 'whirlpool' of evil that leads to Hell. Baptism is like a set of water wings that hold us up and give us confidence about life in Christ, and the power to become holy and to persevere.
Whenever the Church on earth prays the Creed with faith and fervour, the Saints and Angels, with the Holy Trinity, rejoice at seeing such a blaze of love and faith from upon earth.
Christ would not let me pray anymore, when I was exhausted from giving a talk about Him. It was as if He held me like someone holding a sick relation, as He invited me to rest, and to recover my energy.
St. Peter spoke about Christ with fervour, joy and utter conviction; and so he provided a wonderful example for us who are sometimes timid, and have to throw off our fears, with God's help, and make joyful proclamations about the truths of the Catholic Faith.
God does not 'like' to see us suffer, just as God the Father did not like to see His Son suffer on earth; yet that suffering of Jesus was part of the plan which They - with the Holy Spirit - accomplished, so that salvation would be possible for the whole human race; and we too are sometimes asked to bear a few dreadful trials for a special purpose.

In becoming man, the Son of God chose to share our life on earth, and our sufferings - though He is without sin. And He sacrificed His life so that we could be freed from sin and from the fear of death.
It is as if, in the Lord's sight, there is a cloud of corruption swirling in society; and Catholics find it hard not to be overcome. Many compare themselves with others, and are satisfied with themselves, instead of asking themselves: "Am I faithful to the teachings of Christ and His Church?"

God pours out into our souls tremendous graces when we confess our sins in the Sacrament of Penance. As a dirty room needs cleaning right into the corners, so our souls need purifying in every 'area' - by the grace of Christ, Who is at work in His Church.
Christ spoke to me from the sanctuary, where He was Present in the tabernacle. He showed His delight in the forthcoming news about greater reverence in the Sacred Liturgy; and He turned towards His Father in Heaven, to Whom greater glory will be given by the changes.
We are right to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and to enjoy Crib sets and other traditions; but above all we must help the needy, in honour of Him Who came to help us in our need, when we were trapped in our sins.
Christians who serve Christ so well that they go straight to Heaven when they die are like those brave soldiers who have been so heroic that their courage is recognised by the Queen, who is pleased to meet them at an investiture, to give them a medal.
Mary, the First Tabernacle: The Lord explained that since His Mother Mary was the first 'tabernacle', as she carried Christ within herself, it would be good for someone to sculpt a figure of Mary, with tabernacle doors placed where her heart would be: the heart which welcomed Him from the first moment.
We are right to honour Mary, the Blessed Virgin, through whom the Father gave us His Son, and all the graces we receive in the Church, especially in the Holy Eucharist. We would be right to surmount a 'Mary-style' tabernacle with an image of Christ in glory.
Our Blessed Lady stretched out her arms to me, showing me how pleased she is to be loved and welcomed. The Lord wants us to treat her as our Heavenly Mother, and to show love towards her, and not just to speak as if she is merely a 'type' or a 'model' for Christians.
Christ sees, as one of the sad mistakes in the Church today, the failure of some of the Clergy to speak necessary truths. Some are afraid to speak about marriage, or reverence, in case they 'drive people away'. Mutual flattery replaces the frank catechesis we need.

A wise Christian never says: 'This path before me is so difficult or painful that God can't possibly want me to follow it'. A friend of Christ follows where Christ has led him, avoiding an easier route. He steers straight towards the Heavenly Jerusalem.
