Someone who searches avidly for new devotions is like a fish which searches for food, day after day, on the Barrier Reef. We need spiritual 'food', but also to make time for our everyday duties, and for care of our neighbour.

Sincere praise, offered through Jesus, in the Spirit, to the Father of light, flies swiftly to the 'heart' of Heaven, as when an arrow pierces a cloud. Our prayers are worthwhile and effective.

When we pray, we approach the palace of our Heavenly King. Are we His friends or enemies? If a servant asks us for the password and we know it - it is 'Jesus' - our requests are granted.

It is a long way we must 'travel', if we are to persevere on our journey from sinful earthly life to the holiness and beauty of Heaven. Only by God's power, poured out in the sacraments, can we 'ascend' on high.

The big question we should ask ourselves is: 'Am I ready for Heaven?' We have a great need for repentance, penance and purification.

As if from the 'door' of Heaven, God's graces pour outwards, down the stairway, upon us needy persons below. He graces are like torrents of living flame; it is into the 'Fire' of His love that each of us must step, when we die. The sinless feel no pain, only joy.

When we pray to Christ, and also ask for the prayers of His Mother Mary and the Saints and holy Angels, we can be sure of their assistance. Indeed, grace pours upon our needy friends, when we intercede for them, just like a torrent of spring water in a fast-flowing river.

One of Christ's Gospel promises is that He will pour into our laps gifts, to overflowing, if we are generous and loving in His service. He always keeps His promises, in one way or another.

Until we find the narrow Way which leads straight to Heaven, it's as if we are wandering around on an unknown road, in a cloudy area, in darkness. Then we see the light, and the safe way ahead.

Near the end of our earthly journey, we come to an intersection. If we follow the wrong road we will find ourselves lost on a bypass, or in industrial wastelands. But if we do what Our Lady says, and follow the map - which is Christ's instructions - we shall follow the road to the great Cathedral of Heaven, at the city centre, and hear beautiful music, in glorious surroundings.

The Lord showed me the far horizons, and many of the other roads which people travel in efforts to reach God and Heaven. The one Way to Heaven is the Way made by Christ and shown out by His Church.

Because Jesus Christ is God as well as man, and Present amongst us at Mass, He is powerful enough to push aside the 'cloud' that separates earth and Heaven, and His perfect praise - joined with our praises - is offered to and accepted by God our Father.
