Like Mary, we sometimes have to face the 'burial' of our earthly hopes; yet God can give us lasting joy if we put our trust in Him.

As we face God's glory we are called to repent of our sins

It is the Holy Spirit Who pours peace within the souls of Christ's friends, and even allows such souls to share that peace, even at a distance, through their communion with one another 'in Christ'. They can encourage one another to more fervent prayer - as when happy dolphins nudge one another, to encourage joyful leaps into the sunlight above the surface of the water.

As gigantic flames leap up from the surface of the sun, so the ardent soul's fervent prayers leap up - as great 'flames' of glory - towards Heaven, whenever we offers sincere words of praise to God. This gives joy to the soul, and joy to Heaven.

Whoever faces Christ, and says sincerely: "I'll do whatever you want", has begun the self-giving way of life found in the utterly self-giving love of the heart of the Holy Trinity
